ECG Develops Economic Sustainability Model
for Marin County
Building on the recommendations made in ECG's 2003 Targeted Industries Study, Marin County has hired ECG to develop a model of Economic Sustainability for the region. Marin's long-standing commitment to the environment, equity, and the economy is reflected by the most recent version of the Countywide Plan, approved in November 2007 and awarded the American Planning Association's 2008 National Planning Excellence Award for Sustainability Program Implementation.
By focusing on engaging business, community, and government leaders in a collaborative economic development process, ECG will help the region to create an economic strategy that reflects Marin's environmental and cultural values.
